Tamara Middleton
Receptionist
Growing up, I moved through various parts of the Greater Toronto Area. I went to school in Etobicoke at the University of Guelph-Humber, where I graduated in 2023 with an honours bachelors of applied sciences and a diploma in early childhood education and care.
Throughout my schooling, I worked various jobs, ranging from candy making at a theme park to becoming an RECE and working at daycare centres. Working in so many different environments gave me a diverse range of experiences and transferable skills, and this is how I learned that I love working at places where I can be a part of the community and directly make a difference in other people's lives.
That is why I chose to get into the world of hearing care – there are so many great opportunities where I get to work with people from our community on a personal level and see how our care positively changes their daily lives.
As a receptionist at our South Clinic, I manage several tasks each and every day: scheduling appointments, assisting with patients in the clinic and over the phone, and, of course, lots and lots of paperwork! My favourite part about working at Beck Hearing Aid Centre is the sense of belonging. Even though my journey with Beck has just started, I feel so welcome and am excited to come in to work every morning!
When I am not at work, you can find me baking, watching a horror movie or outside on a hike – some of my favourite things to do year-round!
