I was born in Timmins and spent my childhood in Northern Ontario. My summer jobs while I was in school were mostly in the mining industry in Ontario and New Brunswick – where I learned a lot about workplace noise exposure! 

I have experienced hearing loss since my 20s, but I wasn’t involved in this side of the hearing healthcare world until my husband and Beck Hearing’s co-owner, Mike, began working for a hearing aid manufacturer as a territory manager. When Beck Hearing’s previous owner retired in 2017, the two of us decided to purchase the business ourselves. 

Most of my career has been in sales, marketing, and procurement roles in the Canadian publishing industry, working with the country’s largest retailers, and I’m eager to bring that expertise into managing our three clinics! 

My full-time focus here as co-owner and manager is making sure our three clinics run smoothly and ensuring our staff are deeply embedded in our community. Once the business management tasks are checked off my list, I spend a lot of my time on the fulfilling projects, like networking, marketing, and community partnerships. 

I love to speak at workplaces and community groups, participating in trade shows and helping train healthcare professionals and support workers. Our team prioritizes education and the reduction of stigma around hearing loss, so spreading the word about quality hearing healthcare, consistent hearing aid wear, and hearing protection is what makes me get out of bed in the morning. 

I am so fortunate to be the community liaison here at Beck Hearing, and it’s my privilege to meet so many people, helping break down the myths and negative stigmas surrounding hearing loss. 

Our team here is full of genuinely amazing people; their passion and compassion continually inspire me, and each day in the clinic I learn something new. Nothing is more rewarding than exceeding our clients’ expectations and achieving optimal treatment outcomes! 

When I’m not hard at work here, I’m a mom to two teenagers and our German shepherd, so spending time with them is my priority. We’re an outdoorsy family – you can often find us travelling or at the family cottage in the summer, out on the lake in kayaks! I also love to hike and do yoga, and Mike and I love to cook.
