About Beck Hearing

About Beck Hearing

Helping London hear since 1969

Beck Hearing was founded in 1969 by Edward Beck, the original President and CEO.  We celebrated 50 years in 2019, and we are proud to be the longest operating hearing clinic in the London area.  We are still an independent, family owned and operated clinic, with deep roots in the community.

Our team of Audiologists, Hearing Instrument Specialists, and Patient Care Professionals bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our practice and offer a full spectrum of products and services, including assessments, consultation, counseling, customized listening devices, batteries, accessories, service, and ongoing support.

At Beck, our mission is to provide the best individualized hearing healthcare for every lifestyle, at every budget, through every phase of your hearing journey.  We believe that better hearing means better living, and we want to improve the lives of our patients and their families by keeping them in the conversation.

Beck Hearing has been located in beautiful downtown London for 20 years, and offers free parking and transit access. We offer free, no obligation hearing tests, free batteries for a year on qualified purchases, and flexible payment plans.

Treva has owned Beck Hearing with her husband, Michael, since 2017. Having experienced hearing loss herself for most of her life, Treva has made it her mission to battle the stigma that goes along with hearing loss, and to promote the health and wellness benefits that accompany healthy hearing. She is proud to lead the Beck team in their mission to improve the lives of as many people as possible, and is always available to chat with clients. You can reach Treva at treva@beckhearingaids.com.

She also an avid baker, and keeps us well-fed with homemade sourdough bread, crackers, cakes and more.

Mable George

Mable is a Western University grad and comes to Beck with several years of audiology and speech pathology experience across Canada and the world.

Mable is family-focused and serious about her work but knows how to have fun as well – she loves to rider her motorcycle in her spare time! Her compassion, patience and professionalism ensure that Mable’s clients receive the very best in audiological care and ongoing treatment, centred around their unique needs. If you visit our South clinic, you will be lucky enough to meet her.

Sydney Barnett

Sydney is the Front Office Manager at Beck’s Central clinic and keeps all three locations running smoothly. She is highly organized and incredibly helpful by nature, which makes her perfect for this demanding role. Patients enjoy Sydney’s quick and capable service, as well as her upbeat personality and sense of humour. She can also perform troubleshooting on your hearing aids, cleaning and inspections, and smartphone pairing. Sydney can often identify and resolve your hearing aid issues over the phone, saving you a trip to the clinic. With a background in therapeutic recreation and several certifications in dementia care, Sydney is also our liaison for community clinics and outreach programs.

Evelyn Gartner
Clinic Assistant

Evelyn is officially our Clinic Assistant but is unofficially so much more. She is the glue that holds our team together!

Evelyn keeps us organized and well stocked, and maintains our cleaning and infection control. She manages the flow and organization of files, assists with our never-ending phone calls, and most importantly, greets and assists our patients.

As a former handicap transit driver with the TTC, Evelyn is a pro at helping with mobility challenges and always ensures that our parking lot and clinic are safe and accessible.

Kate Deman
Hearing Care Coordinator

Kate is currently enrolled in the Hearing Instrument Specialist program at Humber College, and is going to make an outstanding clinician when she’s done!

In the meantime, she acts as our Hearing Care Coordinator, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient journey. Kate supports all of our staff however necessary, and can perform just about any job in the clinics.

In her spare time, Kate loves to perform in local theatre and runs her own business. We love the energy she brings to Team Beck.
